Just wanted to let you know our laptop died yesterday. Just as I was getting back into the habit of blogging again, too! So I am typing this at the computer lab at school between classes. And you may not hear from me for a few days as we look for a new computer.
When it rains, it pours. Last week I got a flat tire and needed to get not one but four new tires since we have all-wheel drive. Then our furnace wasn't working and we had to get a new part for it. Then we had a "small" gas leak in the house. Now our computer has died. I hate the feeling of not being able to get ahead.
But enough complaining. We are all doing well. The kids are still coughing and now Lion's ear hurts, too, but I know that things could be so much worse (knock on wood).
I really miss the internet, though. I'm not gonna lie.
Tell me about it, about not getting ahead. Right before xmas, I discovered that I need to get a crown for one of my teeth, which is pretty expensive:(
ReplyDeleteThat whole 4 tires at once thing, that's not a real thing. But in the future (if its to stay within terms of your warranty), Tirerack.com will shave a tire to match the tread depth of the others on your car. Just some friendly advice from a lost friend

ReplyDeleteI have a question about the tires thing too that maybe Jonathan (or Jeremy) can answer: I have 4-wheel drive (is that the same thing as all-wheel drive?), and I bought two new tires a few weeks ago that are a different brand than the old two. My owner's manual says that I can't use my 4-wheel drive unless all four tires are the exact same brand/make/model or whatever. Is that true?
ReplyDeleteGirl I know what you mean about trying to get ahead. It seems like just when David and I get ahead we find another hospital bill. Grr...Oh well. Someday we will buy a new car and own our own home. Someday...
ReplyDeleteAll wheel drive is when your car decides how many wheels are going, 4-wheel drive is when the driver has control over that function. For some cars (Audi, BMW, Subaru, Honda, etc) the manufacturer recommends the tires have the same size (ie 235/70R15)/speed rating(ie 108s) in order to maximize performance, but the brand shouldn't matter.
